At Northern Diver (International) Ltd, we’ve been designing and manufacturing world-class diving, rescue and specialist equipment since 1985. We’re a British manufacturer with customers all over the world, but at heart, we’re a close-knit team that takes pride in what we do. We’re looking for a Commercial & Military Sales Representative to join our team at our Appley Bridge headquarters. This is a role for someone who likes to get out there, meet people and make things happen
. You’ll work with an exciting mix of customers across the UK and around the world — from commercial divers and specialist distributors to military customers and organisations
. You’ll help them find the right equipment for their needs, build strong relationships and discover new opportunities for Northern Diver. One week you could be meeting commercial customers in the UK, the next working with a distributor overseas or representing Northern Diver at an international exhibition. You’ll meet new people, learn about different industries and get to know our specialist products inside and out.

It’s a varied role with plenty of opportunity to learn, travel and grow — and you’ll be part of a friendly team that genuinely enjoys what it does.

Every day will be a little different, but your role will include:

• Building great relationships with commercial customers, military customers, distributors and business partners.
• Meeting customers face to face, on the phone, by email and during business visits.
• Helping customers find the right specialist equipment and solutions for their needs.
• Finding new business opportunities and helping grow our commercial and military customer base.
• Preparing quotes, costings and sales orders.
• Processing sales, pro formas and invoices.
• Measuring customers for drysuits and helping them find the right fit.
• Working with our wider sales team and other departments to make things happen.
• Travelling across the UK and overseas to meet customers and develop new opportunities.
• Representing Northern Diver at exhibitions and trade shows around the world.

You’ll ideally be:

• Experienced in face-to-face sales or customer-facing business development.
• Confident meeting new people and building lasting relationships.
• A strong communicator with a friendly, professional manner.
• Proactive, ambitious and motivated to win new business.
• Organised and able to keep on top of multiple opportunities.
• A quick learner who enjoys getting to know new products and industries.
• A good problem solver with great attention to detail.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Familiar with sales or order processing systems.
• Happy to travel regularly throughout the UK and overseas.
• The holder of a full UK driving licence.

Full-time, onsite
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm
Starting from £26,500 per annum.
Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
Immediate start available for the right candidate.
