Warehouse Operative

We have an opportunity available for Warehouse Operative to join our distribution centre in Wigan on our afternoon shift working 40 hours per week; either Monday‑Friday 1:00pm – 10:00pm or Sunday‑Thursday 1:00pm – 10:00pm.

Our Northern distribution centre can store 12,000 pallets and 10,000 large appliances. Over 200 staff are based at this site, including customer engagement advisors, product technical engineers, route planners and an in‑house graphic design team. It also houses our excellent driver training facilities.

• Provide support to the Warehouse Team with loading goods inwards and outwards of the warehouse using manual handling and/or warehouse machinery.
• Transport stock around the warehouse as required using warehouse machinery and/or manual handling to maximise space utilisation.
• Maintain the highest level of accuracy with regards to counts of warehouse stock and deliveries received to ensure systems flow effectively.
• Practice the highest level of Health and Safety in the workplace to protect yourself and your colleagues.
• Support the packing team as required in preparing orders for dispatch.
• Work well in a strong team environment.
• Undertake miscellaneous tasks as required to support the effective running of the business.

• Previous Warehouse Experience and Reach truck/Counter‑Balance experience required.
