Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our SEN team in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Learning Support Assistant to make a real difference in supporting children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with class teachers as a Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support

Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions as a Learning Support Assistant

Assist pupils with SEN in both academic and personal development as a Learning Support Assistant

Support classroom organisation, learning activities, and behaviour management as a Learning Support Assistant

Build trusting relationships with pupils and act as a reliable Learning Support Assistant

The Ideal Candidate :

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ideally in an SEN setting

Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach as a Learning Support Assistant

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Learning Support Assistant - desirable but not essential
