PurposeThis Occupational Health Nurse role will play an integral part of the Golborne site, supporting employee well-being and management of sickness absence. The nurse will report to the Head of HR and will support and advise employees on health-related issues. This opportunity suits a registered nurse who has experience within a manufacturing environment and is looking to gain further knowledge in the industry and play a pivotal role in shaping occupational health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Responsibilities- Deliver and coordinate health surveillance programs in accordance with health and safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., COSHH, Noise, HAVS).
- Complete fitness to work cases and capability assessments.
- Offer wellbeing support where needed.
- Facilitate return-to-work assessments and phased returns.
- Conduct physical and mental health assessments.
- Conduct Workplace assessments as and where required.
- Drug & Alcohol testing where required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor employee health trends and recommend interventions as necessary.
- Help to continuously improve service delivery and operations.
- Must be a registered Nurse.
- Diploma in Occupational Health Practice is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in occupational health or a related field.
- Must have similar experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of occupational health surveillance programs and relevant regulations.
- Able to analyse and interpret clinical data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
