ResponsibilitiesProvides administrative support to the Building Department and Conservation Commission, managing permits, inspection schedules, records, and fees. Assists residents with applications and regulatory inquiries. Prepares notices, agendas, and meeting materials; attends bi‑weekly Conservation Commission meetings and takes minutes. Coordinates site walks and communication with DPW, contractors, and state agencies. Performs general office duties.
Qualifications- Associate’s Degree in business, administrative, paralegal or related field preferred.
- Two years of relevant administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience with Conservation Commission processes, wetlands regulations, or municipal permitting strongly preferred.
- Must have strong communication, customer service, organizational, and computer skills, and the ability to understand and apply local and state regulations.
Grade 2, $23.39–$29.98 per hour; union position, 35 hours per week, overtime eligible. Full benefits provided. Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, 1 hour unpaid lunch. Attendance at evening meetings of Conservation Commission required.
