• Supervise and train nursing staff during shifts to ensure high-quality patient care standards are met.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, overseeing inventory and resource allocation.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• Organize and manage staffing schedules and shift rotations.
• Address patient and family complaints and concerns in a professional and calm manner.
• Participate in hiring and conducting performance evaluations for nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies.
• Assist with other administrative or clinical tasks as needed to support smooth unit operations.

• Experience: Two (2) years of recent, department-specific experience is required. Charge nurse or supervisory experience in a department-specific area is preferred.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is required. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is preferred.

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience with basic EKG/telemetry interpretation is required OR completion of a Basic EKG class within six months of employment.
