Position: PCU - Registered Nurse (RN) - New to Specialty Program - March 2026

Responsibilities

Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital is looking for exceptional Registered Nurses (RNs) interested in joining our PCU team for the PCU - New to Specialty Program, an 8‑week didactic, hands‑on learning experience and clinical preceptorship.

Application period:
January 7 – January 23.

Program start date:
March 9th for externals & March 16th for interns.

Full‑time, night‑shift availability only. At this time we are not accepting new‑grad RNs – this program is for RNs with a minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility.

A recruiter will reach out directly at the end of January if you meet the minimum qualifications and have been selected by department leadership.

Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital is a licensed 122‑bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission, located in Wildomar, California. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated trauma center and a county‑designated paramedic base station, performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 emergency department visits per month. The hospital also features a bariatric weight‑loss surgery center of excellence and the region’s only total joint center.

Staff Registered Nurses provide excellence in patient care, collaborating and comprehensively caring for patients based on family and patient needs. They provide assessments, treatment, and care on assigned units and manage pain, invasive lines, and surgical drains. Staff RNs practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies and consistently model the core values and mission of Southwest Healthcare.

Qualifications
  • 1 year of RN experience in an acute care facility required.
  • Completion of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • BSN preferred.
Required Licensure / Certifications
  • Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
  • BLS (AHA) certification.
  • ACLS (AHA) certification.
  • NIH stroke certification to be completed by end of the week of NEO.
Employee Float

Employees may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided.
