The Home Depot is seeking candidates who provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance. Associates learn about products using company tools and provide information to help customers in order to sell projects. They greet, qualify, recommend, and close with customers in their department and understand basics in adjacent departments.

• Greet customers and assess their needs; recommend and help close sales within the department.
• Learn product information using company tools to assist customers effectively.
• Maintain in-stock conditions of assigned areas; keep areas clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow all safety policies and standards; complete required safety training; immediately correct hazards or report conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Work cooperatively with the Department Supervisor and other department colleagues, and coordinate with adjacent departments as needed.
• Support various store departments as applicable (e.g., Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Tool Rental).

• Ability to provide fast, friendly customer service and effectively communicate with customers.
• Willingness to learn product information and advise customers accordingly.
• Commitment to a safe work environment and adherence to safety policies and training.
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members and across departments.
