Lead Teacher

The Elegant Child is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers for our Two-Year-Old classroom!

To be QUALIFIED for this position,
we require at least three years of lead teaching experience
, and the ability to pass all background checks.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, Full-time

Compensation: $15-17/hr. based on education and experience.

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine;
  Useour parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
