Geotechnical Field Technician

Overview

Geotechnical Field Technician role at Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA). This position is located in Wilkes Barre, PA and involves construction observation and material testing for soil, concrete, and other structural components.

• Conduct on-site construction observation and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials.
• Assist with sample collection and laboratory data entry.
• Maintain accurate field logs and documentation.

• Own reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy working outdoors and lifting or moving up to 80 pounds as needed.
• Familiarity with ACI, NICET, WACEL, or other relevant certifications desired.

This position may require standing for extended durations and repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. The employee must be able to use hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit; see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision, and focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds, and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (e.g. a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).
