Coordinate child development, disabilities and transition services provided to children and Head Start (HS) Center-Based Program by serving as an active team member of the Early Childhood Education team. Provide training and technical assistance and monitoring for staff in the use of a developmentally appropriate, assessment-based curriculum. Assist in the monitoring of all staff directly involved in the education of the children in the implementation of that curriculum.
Monitor Head Start Performance Standards and Outcomes in the area of Child Development to maintain high level of quality.
Coordinate child development, disabilities and transition services for Children and the HS Center-Based Program as an active member of the Early Childhood Education team. Provide training, technical assistance, and monitoring for staff using an assessment-based curriculum. Monitor staff implementation and Head Start Performance Standards and Outcomes in Child Development.
Qualifications- BS Degree in Early Childhood Education, or closely related field and/or coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood Education
- Three (3) years’ experience teaching preschool children
- Bilingual language abilities a plus – English/Spanish
$1,000 Sign‑On Bonus
Conditions of EmploymentLuzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances per state/federal regulations. This designated position requires driving; approval of driving record is required by LCHS Insurance Provider. Proof of degree, certification, and experience is required to meet qualifications.
Location, Hours & SalaryFull Time, 12‑month/Full Year, 37.5 hrs/wk
Salary/Annual: $46,461
Bilingual Adjustment in pay of 5% for English/Spanish language abilities
