Join Allied Services as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at the Wilkes-Barre Transitional Rehab Unit. This is a part-time, day shift position.
Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Assistant Vice President, the COTA provides occupational therapy treatments to patients, coordinating with Recreation Therapy to offer therapeutic leisure activities. The role requires knowledge of growth and development principles relevant to the geriatric patient population, with the ability to assess and interpret patient data to meet their specific needs.
Qualifications- Associate's degree as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- PA State licensure as a COTA
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid PA driver’s license
- Gerontology experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of COTA experience preferred
- Criminal background clearance by PA State Police
Requires medium physical effort, including lifting 10-50 lbs, standing, bending, and working in reaching positions. Must be able to transport self within the facility. Exposure to blood, body substances, and chemicals may occur.
