When joining our Management Training Program, you will become an Operations Supervisor. The 20‑week program trains you in every aspect of our company and the industry from a service center perspective. You will work at one of our 240 nationwide Service Centers. Willingness to relocate is essential. The program focuses on front‑line operational supervision, safety, maintenance, and transportation procedures. You will observe supervisors during operational shifts (inbound, outbound, city, and DC) and spend time with Arc Best Account Managers to learn how to proactively manage accounts.
After training, you will be placed in a Service Center across the continental United States as an Operations Supervisor. Those in senior management positions pave their way by developing and strengthening their own abilities throughout their Arc Best and ABF Freight careers.
Responsibilities- Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.
- Coordinate work assignments and monitor performances.
- Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
- Assign job tasks to workers according to unloading and loading schedules.
- Plan, supervise, and control available resources to ensure timely, damage‑free, safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.
- Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe vehicle operation.
- Support a values‑driven culture focused on creativity, integrity, collaboration, growth, excellence, and wellness.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
- Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred). - Computer
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. - General knowledge of freight, imports, exports, and proper freight handling techniques (preferred).

CompensationThis is a salary position paid biweekly.
