RN - Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float - GWV

Geisinger is proud to offer a full time Inpatient RN position with incentives for eligible candidates. The role includes a starting rate of $41.00 per hour with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 per hour in shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Job Duties

• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, discharge planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises the plan of care based on patient response.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other team members to proactively resolve patient needs.
• Troubleshoots equipment and ensures proper handling and safety.
• Participates in unit-based decision-making regarding evidence-based practice.
• Actively participates as a team member working toward unit and organizational goals; accountable for unit and system-specific metrics.
• Participates in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities aimed at improving quality and safety.

Position Details

• Hours:
  
  7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday
• Float differential: $5.00/hour

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management (Preferred)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) –  of Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)

• Experience requirements are as stated by the department and role; certifications and licenses must be current at the time of hire.
