Job Summary: Geisinger is offering a generous sign‑on bonus for qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Cardiovascular Surgery: $7,500 for eligible candidates and up to $10,000 for LPN's with 5 or more years of experience.
Job Duties: Geisinger is seeking a dedicated Clinic Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team and provide essential clinical support to providers, patients, and families. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality care and ensuring continuity throughout the patient’s treatment journey.
Sign‑On Bonus- $7,500 for eligible LPN candidates (paid over 24 months)
- Up to $10,000 for LPNs with 5+ years of experience (paid over 36 months)
- Full‑time union position (40 hours/week)- Monday through Friday- dayshift hours.
- Document patient medical history, chief complaint, and vital signs to support provider assessments.
- Deliver direct clinical care under provider direction.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and diagnostic exams.
- Collect and prepare lab specimens with accurate documentation.
- Communicate with patients regarding care plans, follow‑ups, and provider instructions.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and skin tests within scope of practice.
- Maintain clean and aseptic exam/treatment rooms and ensure equipment readiness.
