Job Summary Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Surgery is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Vascular Surgery Department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties
The vascular surgery PA or NP will join a dedicated team of vascular surgeons and physician assistants at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. This mixed practice offers mostly outpatient clinic, with potential for some inpatient rounding/consults and some OR first assist coverage. No weekend. No call. No holidays.
Our vascular specialists are dedicated to providing personalized care and helping patients feel their best.
The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine.
The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Must be certified to work with all patient population age groups.
Education Bachelor's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Preferred)Certification(s) and License(s)
Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body;
Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
