Registered Nurse - Patient Flow Coordinator

Coordinates patient flow and throughput in the emergency department, collaborating with staff, leadership, and ancillary departments to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

• Acts as a professional role model by maintaining effective communication, resource utilization, and organizational skills.
• Monitors patient volumes, manages patient placement based on acuity, and communicates issues to leadership.
• Coordinates bed availability, addresses delays, and facilitates patient transfers and discharges.
• Utilizes tele-tracking to identify available beds and collaborates with charge nurses and transport services to optimize patient movement.
• Provides comprehensive shift reports, updates on patient status, and ensures timely discharge and room cleaning.

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required);
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a clinical environment, manage complex workflows, and collaborate across departments.

Work hours include overnight shifts with weekend and holiday requirements. The role emphasizes compliance with policies, patient safety, and continuous process improvement.
