LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Emergency Department

The Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs throughout hospitalization.

• Contribute to assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care based on scope of practice and unit standards.
• Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and address family needs.
• Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies following policies and procedures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adapt care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.
• Participate in unit-based decision-making and provide input on care delivery practices.
• Precept and mentor new staff and students, fostering a professional and positive environment.

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing is required. The role demands compassionate care, strong collaboration, adaptability, and adherence to policies. Experience in a clinical setting is essential. The position involves working in a clinical environment, typically during evening or night shifts, with some weekend and holiday requirements.
