Overview

Position:
Customer Service/Sales - The Home Depot. The role provides fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess needs and provide assistance. Associates learn to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department and to handle basics in adjacent departments. They also maintain in-stock condition, ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe. Safety policies and training must be followed, hazards corrected or reported, and work done safely with coworkers and customers.

• Provide fast, friendly customer service by identifying customer needs and offering appropriate products and services to support selling projects.
• Learn product information using company tools and assist customers in selecting items to complete their projects.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in their department; assist with basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain in-stock conditions, keep areas clean, organized, and safe for shoppers.
• Follow safety policies and complete required safety training; report hazards to the Manager on Duty and work safely with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
• Collaborate with Department Supervisors and other departments to support store operations.
• Possible store departments include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.
• Possible role types include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

Wilkes-Barre, PA; $11.00-$13.00 per hour.
