Planning Coordinator

Position: West Fraser Planning Coordinator Opportunity

As part of the South Cariboo Woodlands division, you will be responsible for an array of planning tasks, from permit development to timber reconnaissance. This role requires effective communication with First Nations and government entities, while ensuring that environmental and social considerations are integrated into your operational strategies. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead timber reconnaissance and road design projects

• Develop cutting permits and manage submissions

• Administer and supervise forestry contracts proficiently

• Communicate effectively with First Nations and the public

• Design operational and site plans considering wildlife values

Requirements:

• Registered Forest Professional or eligible for BC registration

• Minimum of 2 years in related planning preferred

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Commitment to safety standards and forest stewardship

• Class 5 driver’s license required
