Teacher Librarian and Learning Support

Position: Full-Time Teacher Librarian and Learning Support
Join School District No. 27 as a full-time Teacher Librarian with Learning Support responsibilities. This role focuses on enriching students' educational experiences through effective library practices and teaching support.

This temporary role spans from September 1st, 2026 to June 30th, 2027. Candidates must have a Diploma or Degree in Special Education, experience as a Teacher Librarian, and prior teaching experience in elementary settings. A strong background in writing and maintaining Individual Education Plans (IEPs) is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate library services to support student learning

• Collaborate with teachers to create and manage IEPs

• Mentor inexperienced teachers through structured programs

• Lead professional development workshops and coaching

• Sustain a relevant library catalog that caters to student interests

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Special Education

• Training as a Teacher Librarian

• Experience teaching at the elementary level

• Capability to write and oversee IEPs

• Must provide verification of educational qualifications
