Sacred Heart Catholic School (Williams Lake) enrolls approximately 110 students from Kindergarten to Grade Seven. For the 2026‑2027 school year, we are seeking a skilled, qualified candidate to join our team as a 1.0 FTE Primary teacher. This position commences September 1, 2026 and concludes April 30, 2027.

• Active membership in a Catholic parish
• Commitment to excellence in Catholic education
• Prior teaching experience in elementary classrooms
• Experience using innovative teaching methods in elementary classrooms, including remote learning experiences
• Flexibility in responding to the ever-shifting needs of today’s education system
• Genuine sense of joy in teaching and learning
• Experience teaching students and working alongside other staff in a diverse and dynamic classroom setting
• Ability to adapt learning opportunities to meet the needs of neuro‑typical and neuro‑diverse students
• Valid TRB certification
• Desire to provide leadership of extracurricular activities

• Teach primary grades with curriculum aligned to Canadian standards and Catholic values.
• Adapt lessons for neuro‑typical and neuro‑diverse learners.
• Lead extracurricular activities such as clubs, events, or sports teams.
• Collaborate with other staff to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Complete the Foundations of the Faith course as required.
