English Lecturer for Adult Education at TRU

Thompson Rivers University in Williams Lake is looking for an English Lecturer specializing in Adult Basic Education. Combine your teaching skills and cultural insights across two campus locations.

As a sessional lecturer, you will teach ENGL 0500 and ENGL 0600 courses at both the Williams Lake and 100 Mile campuses.

Your role involves developing curricula that respect cultural perspectives and promoting intercultural understanding among students. You will also participate in advancing scholarly teaching practices at TRU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver ENGL 0500/0600 courses in Williams Lake

• Teach ENGL 0600 at the 100 Mile campus

• Create culturally sensitive educational materials

• Support intercultural understanding among diverse student populations

• Engage in scholarly teaching contributions to TRU

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field

• Minimum one degree in English

• Teaching Certificate or minimum five years teaching experience

• Experience with diverse educational backgrounds preferred

• Preference for experience in Adult Basic Education English
