Join Skyline Alternate School in Cariboo-Chilcotin as a Support Teacher, providing vital educational assistance to students with diverse needs. This full-time, temporary position focuses on behavioral support and personalized learning.

From September 1st, 2026, you will engage with students requiring specialized attention in their learning environments. Partnering with a dynamic School Based Team, your role will be instrumental in helping students transition to traditional education or post-secondary opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized support strategies for students

• Write and maintain Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

• Utilize outdoor and place-based pedagogies in teaching

• Collaborate closely with local agencies to enhance student services

• Foster mental health literacy and social responsibility

Requirements:

• Training in Special Education or related disciplines

• Experience in secondary education and learning support

• Proven success with vulnerable youth

• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices an asset

• Commitment to First Peoples learning principles
