This .5 part-time role is set to last until the return of the incumbent, with a potential end date of December 31st, 2026. Qualified applicants must have a diploma or degree in Special Education, experience at the elementary level, and hold valid BC Teacher Certification. This position values mentorship and ongoing professional development for educators.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized support to special education students
• Write and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with school administration on scheduling
• Engage in mentoring new teachers as needed
• Participate in professional development sessions
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Special Education
• Teaching experience at the elementary level
• Familiarity with IEP development and maintenance
• Valid BC Teacher Regulation Branch certification
• Commitment to continual professional growth
Support the learning journey of students through specialized teaching and dedicated mentorship.
