Environmental Manager, Program / Project Manager
DWB/CRGL is a newly merged consulting firm specializing in environmental, engineering, forestry and GIS services and solutions. With a close-knit team, a diverse client base, and a strong reputation for quality and service, the company operates offices throughout all of British Columbia.
We are seeking a seasoned Environmental Manager to oversee our Environment department at our Williams Lake, British Columbia office. As a dynamic Environmental Professional (RPBio, PAg, RPF), you will lead a team of skilled staff, including professionals, in‑training professionals and technicians, provide professional guidance and advice to staff and clients, maintain and develop new clients, and work on and lead a variety of environmental projects across various market sectors and environmental disciplines.

In this role, you will work with our Director of Environmental Services to set the direction of the Williams Lake Environment department and to ensure client needs and division goals are successfully met.

This is primarily an office role with some field work as necessary to support clients and train staff. (Flexible work schedule).
TravelSome field work and travel can be expected, but most work will be in the Cariboo‑Chilcotin Region of central British Columbia.
Responsibilities- Supervising, training, and mentoring junior team members.
- Promoting and modeling a progressive safety culture and supporting the DWB/CRGL safety program.
- Providing leadership, professional guidance and advice, and project management for a broad range of environmental projects in a variety of natural resource sectors.
- Interacting with clients on projects as Environmental/Discipline Lead or Project Manager.
- Leveraging existing and new client relationships to grow environmental market share.
- Developing quotes, proposals, and other business development related activities to establish new client relationships.
- Must be a BC‑regulated environmental professional (i.e., RPBio, PAg, RPF, PGeo, PEng).
- At least eight (8) years of demonstrated relevant work experience, including direct staff management.
- Effective relationship and networking skills are required to help cultivate relationships with clients, First Nations, regulators, and DWB/CRGL team members.
- Project management and organizational skills to coordinate and support team members, manage client expectations and project safety, budgets, and equipment.
- Experience and enthusiasm for mentoring and training team members and supporting their professional development.
- Ability to review and prepare professional reports, study designs, and develop project proposals and quotes.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize workloads.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations in BC to ensure legal compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategic solutions.
The pay range for this position is $42 – $65 per hour, and Managers are paid for all hours worked. Pay will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and prevailing market conditions for this specific role.
