Registered Nurse | Sexual and Reproductive Health; SRH

Applicable positions may be eligible for relocation allowance. Health is seeking an experienced and agile Sexual and Reproductive Health Registered Nurse to join our team at Cariboo Community Health Services in Williams Lake, BC.

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) provides comprehensive and coordinated nursing services related to sexual and reproductive health including but not limited to sexually transmitted and blood born infection screening, testing, treatment and contact tracing, contraceptive management, pelvic exams, cervical cancer screening, HIV pre and post exposure prophylaxis, immunizations and gender affirming care.

• Applies a health equity, social justice, and social determinates of health lens to all key responsibilities
• Ensures clients are supported in navigating the health care system
• Provides trauma informed, person centered, gender inclusive, holistic and culturally safe care, honouring Indigenous knowledge, wisdom and diversity
• Provides care within a person and family centered care model
• The role includes a strong focus on prevention, education, health promotion, assessment, treatment, contact tracing, coordination, support, liaison, and client referral to other health services
• The nurse works in partnership with other health care providers and community‑based services and agencies, both internal and external to IH, providing clinic‑based services as well as outreach‑based services

Location:

Williams Lake, BC. This is a Permanent Part Time (0.82) opportunity. Travel is a requirement for this position and transportation arrangements must meet the Employer’s requirements. You are required to hold a valid BC Driver’s License and may be required to drive a personal car on mileage and/or be assigned a fleet vehicle as a condition of employment.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days Tuesday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
