Multi-Modality CT Technician Registered

Overview

The Multi-Modality CT Technologist in a hospital setting is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. The role includes performing all radiology and CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Responsibilities also encompass patient preparation and explanation of exams, responding to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completing all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.

• Assist radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures. Select proper protocols to obtain optimal images and provide clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Perform procedures with a high degree of safety and quality, preventing or reducing harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, and protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follow ALARA principles according to policy.
• Understand and adhere to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Report variances.
• Coordinate patient care and perform effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
• Demonstrate detail orientation, multi-tasking ability, and organization to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • CPR/BLS Certification – American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC), Upon Hire (Required)
