OverviewPatient Care Technician (PCT) - Medicine Unit
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center - Williamsburg, VA
7:00pm-7:00am, Rotating weekends
36 hours/week
The Patient Care Technician provides patient care, support independent and dependent activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility and ambulation, phlebotomy, point of care testing, EKG testing, peripheral IV removal, specimen collection, and foley catheter insertion and removal, complying with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional RN nurse. Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and document in a timely and accurate manner while reporting any change to the nurse or medical staff.
Education& Certification
- HS Diploma or Equivalent (Required) and one of the following required:
Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), US Navy Hospital Corps School, Emergency Services (EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic), current student in a clinical RN/LPN/RT/PT program, or current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant. - Basic Life Support Certification

Base pay: $16.92 - $25.38 per hour. Overtime, shift differentials, standby/on‑call, bonuses, and other incentives may be available.
