Part‑Time PMHNP – Behavioral Health in Post‑Acute Settings, Williamsburg, VA

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Williamsburg, VA team on a part‑time basis. Key Responsibilities – PMHNP, Post‑Acute Behavioral Health

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management for patients in post‑acute and long‑term care settings
• Develop and implement evidence‑based pharmacological and non‑pharmacological treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, primary care providers, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Monitor medication efficacy and safety; manage side effects and adjust treatment as appropriate
• Perform timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and communicate clinical updates to the care team and families
• Participate in facility rounds, case conferences, and care‑planning meetings to support holistic patient care
• Provide education and support to staff and families on behavioural health issues and best practices

Essential Qualifications And Skills – PMHNP, Williamsburg VA

• Master’s or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program with PMHNP certification
• Active and unrestricted Virginia Nurse Practitioner license and current DEA registration
• Certification or experience in psychiatric/behavioral health with knowledge of geriatric mental health preferred
• Experience in post‑acute, long‑term care, geriatrics, or behavioural health settings preferred
• Proficient with EMR systems and clinical documentation
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated compassion, clinical judgement, and commitment to patient‑centred care
