Patient Dining Associate

Overview

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate I. This is a full‑time, rotating shift position with rotating weekends.

Williamsburg, VA

Monday – Friday: 12‑hour shift between 6 am – 7 pm. Rotating weekends.

Base pay: $15.75 – $20.46 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.

• Serve patient meals on assigned units.
• Communicate patient food issues, concerns, and needs to Food & Nutrition Services and Nursing regarding nutrition needs.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring patients on NPO, clear liquid, and full liquid diets and record food intake for intake analysis.
• React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure timely and accurate service, including physician‑ordered modified diets.
• Ensure familiarity with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to provide optimal patient care and satisfaction.
• Maintain patient satisfaction on assigned units.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One year of food service experience may be considered in lieu of high school education.
• Pre‑existing Food Handlers Card (required upon hire).
• Previous customer service experience (required).
• Previous food service experience (preferred).
