Williamsburg Urgent Care is a doctor owned and operated practice, and the top rated UC in the area. We are searching for a Receptionist to provide a positive patient experience to our community. Our mission is to provide an exceptional patient care experience in a compassionate environment. Responsibilities- Greeting patients and visitors and answering inquiries on the phone and in person.
- Comforting patients and visitors by anticipating anxieties and ensuring availability of treatment.
- Scheduling and keeping appointments on track by notifying nurse of patient’s arrival.
- Securing and maintaining patient accounts by obtaining and updating personal and financial information, expediting third‑party claims, and ensuring confidentiality.
- Processing and filing scanned documents that come into the office daily.
- Collecting co‑pays and balances due upon patient’s arrival.
- Facilitating a smooth and efficient operation by monitoring patient flow and helping to decrease wait times.
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for patients and staff.
- Protecting patients’ rights and privacy by maintaining strict confidentiality of personal and financial information in accordance with HIPAA.
- A natural sense of etiquette & professionalism while speaking to our patients and internal staff.
- Must have a caring attitude and be able to show genuine empathy toward patients.
- Exceptional telephone, verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Able to actively listen and employ information received.
- Able to maintain professionalism and customer focus in a stressful and fast‑paced environment.
- Able to multi‑task while ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy and have superior organizational skills.
- Must be trustworthy and flexible.
- Strong computer skills to manage our electronic records systems accurately and efficiently, while scheduling patient appointments and resolving other patient concerns.
- Able to receive and provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback.
