Housekeeping Attendant - Williamsburg Inn

Upon being hired for this position, you will enter a Probationary status, working up to 40 hours per week.
Upon completion of the probationary period, you could become benefit eligible.

Essential Duties:

• Assist Room Attendants to clean and prepare guest rooms according to Williamsburg Lodge standards
• Stock guest rooms with towels, linens, furnishings, and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness of the public area around the cart
• Rearrange furniture as needed
• Ensure guests receive appropriate amenities
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• Six months to one year of hotel housekeeping experience
• Availability to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to adhere to grooming and appearance standards
• Ability to:
• Deal tactfully and courteously with guests and co-workers
• Use a vacuum cleaner
• Understand oral and written instructions

This position may require driving company vehicles. All hires must be authorized by the company to drive, possessing a valid Virginia driver’s license and an acceptable driving record based on Foundation criteria. Candidates must provide a 5-year Motor Vehicle Record prior to employment, be at least 21 years old, and meet specific driving record standards regarding violations and accidents.

Physical requirements include:

• Transporting objects weighing up to 150 pounds
• Heavy cleaning, dusting, and extensive walking in all weather conditions
• Lifting, standing, and bending for up to 8+ hours daily
