Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a MIG/TIG Welder (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $24 plus a $1/hour shift differential. Salary information provided is a general guideline; final compensation will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

- Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.
- Utilize manufacturing information to determine necessary parts, inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.
- Provide assistance to sheet metal fabricators/operators as required.
- Be responsible for delivering material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, positioning work material on the work surface, and ensuring correct parts and documentation reach the next process timely.
- Operate spot welders and interface with robotic welding.
- Complete necessary preparation steps such as wiping, degreasing, deburring, or grinding of components.
- Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers; documentation/record keeping may be required.
- Operate spot welders, arc welders, cutting torch, power grinder, power sanders, hand tools, bandsaws, drills, temporary fixturing devices, jigs and fixtures, and other metal‑fabrication equipment as directed.
- Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings/blueprints, make necessary adjustments, keep accurate piece count and other records, and inform supervisor of any quality problems.
- Maintain equipment such as welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing tooling; complete maintenance check sheets and inform supervisor or maintenance personnel of any problems.
- Perform other duties as required, including flexing to other departments.
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year of MIG and TIG welding experience or a technical diploma or certification in welding from an accredited institution.
- No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates residing within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active‑Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographic limitation.

- Experience demonstrating proficiency of welding techniques, shop blueprint/drawing comprehension, and shop math skills.
- Minimum of two (2) years of welding experience.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
- Able to move material as needed using material handling carts (push/pull 50 lbs).
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Team player and able to collaborate with others to complete work assignments per customer orders.
- Willingness to participate in training opportunities.
