Registered Nurse Manager – Hospital Resource Pool / Coordinator for Stroke & Magnet

Location: Williamsburg, VA

Work Shift: First (Days) – flexible

This role will manage approximately 20 FTEs and coordinate responsibility for Stroke and Magnet Programs at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. The manager will supervise a 24‑hour operation, ensuring staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and staff mentorship and development. The position includes talent retention strategies within the area of responsibility.

• Manage and supervise approximately 20 full‑time nursing staff in a 24‑hour operational setting.
• Coordinate and oversee the Stroke and Magnet Programs, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and Magnet® recognition criteria.
• Develop and implement scheduling, staffing resources, and training plans to support high‑quality patient care.
• Conduct interviews, hire, and mentor staff to build an effective work team.
• Engage in talent retention strategies for the designated responsibilities.

• Minimum 2 years of Nursing Leadership experience (required).
• At least 2 years of recent RN bedside hospital experience (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher (required).
• RN license to practice in Virginia (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

• RN‑Bachelor’s Degree, or
• RN‑Master’s Degree
