OverviewThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical‑thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation) and standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
Requirements- Previous RN experience preferred, with new grads welcome (up to $7,500 bonus).
- Must have clinical knowledge and skills to meet the standards necessary for the assigned specialty.
- RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.
- RN license valid to work in the State of Virginia.
- BLS and NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
- Assess and admit patients.
- Perform rounding checks and provide clinical documentation.
- Administer medications and manage drug delivery systems.
- Communicate with family members and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team.
- Provide overall nursing care and contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment.
