Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical support at our Hampton and Williamsburg offices. The NP will contribute information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives. General Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrate a high degree of general medical and urological knowledge and exercise independent judgment as appropriate
- Assess the patient’s medical condition by completion of a urological examination
- Document appropriately and communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested
- Order and evaluate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and devices based on the patient’s medical condition
- Develop and perform treatment plans in accordance with established protocols
- Order physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or home health care as appropriate
- Fulfill hospital rounding duties as assigned
- Minimum 5 years working in Nurse Practitioner role
- Urology of Surgical experience preferred
- Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
