Overview
Relationship Banker or Senior Relationship Banker - Lightfoot Richmond Road role position involves providing an industry leading client service experience both in person and on the phone, developing and expanding new and existing client relationships, and offering financial solutions based on consultative conversations. Cross-training to support teller transactions as needed.
Responsibilities- Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
- Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and sales targets by offering products and services with a focus on developing, expanding and retaining relationships.
- Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs or financial goals to other internal specialists.
- Participates in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge by attending meetings, training classes and web-based learning.
- Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
- Adheres to internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies; stays informed of policy changes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
- Maintains a consistent client service experience by engaging clients with courteous conversation while conducting transactions and helping them navigate the branch; may include handling teller transactions and greeting clients.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of client sales and service experience
- Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- SAFE compliant within 30 days (including NMLS background check and ongoing regulatory requirements)
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints
- Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs or locale changes
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor with high service quality
- Experience discussing, recommending and selling various deposit, credit and retirement products
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- Understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
