Overview

Radiation Oncology Physicist – SRS/SBRT Programs

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of diverse clinical radiation therapy physics experience and will contribute to treatment planning, quality assurance, equipment oversight, and direct support for SRS/SBRT programs. Candidates with A /ABMP certification (or completion of A  Part
2) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct physics consultation to attending physicians.
  • Design treatment plans for stereotactic programs.
  • Perform patient-specific QA.
  • Directly supervise all SRS/SBRT simulations and treatments.
  • Coordinate with neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists on planning goals for SBRT/SRS/Gamma Knife patients.
  • Perform and/or coordinate quality control activities, equipment maintenance, calibration, and regulatory QA.
  • Maintain QA standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct QA/testing on Eclipse, Aria, Mosaiq, Varian EDGE linacs, Siemens imaging systems, and Gamma Knife components.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, staff, and patients.
  • Deliver routine therapy physics services.

Qualifications Required / Preferred
  • 5+ years of clinical radiation therapy physics experience
  • A /ABMP certification (or completion of A  Part
    2)
  • Strong understanding of state, federal, and professional regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
