Overview
Radiation Oncology Physicist – SRS/SBRT Programs
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of diverse clinical radiation therapy physics experience and will contribute to treatment planning, quality assurance, equipment oversight, and direct support for SRS/SBRT programs. Candidates with A /ABMP certification (or completion of A Part
2) are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Provide direct physics consultation to attending physicians.
- Design treatment plans for stereotactic programs.
- Perform patient-specific QA.
- Directly supervise all SRS/SBRT simulations and treatments.
- Coordinate with neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists on planning goals for SBRT/SRS/Gamma Knife patients.
- Perform and/or coordinate quality control activities, equipment maintenance, calibration, and regulatory QA.
- Maintain QA standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct QA/testing on Eclipse, Aria, Mosaiq, Varian EDGE linacs, Siemens imaging systems, and Gamma Knife components.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, staff, and patients.
- Deliver routine therapy physics services.
- Varian Edge Linear Accelerator with 6
DoF couch - Elekta Gamma Knife Icon (upgrade to Esprit pending)
- Advanced on-board imaging
- Eclipse 16.0 TPS with Rad Formation Clear Check & Clear Calc
- Siemens CT Simulator
- ARIA, Mosaiq, Epic EMR
- Sun Nuclear QA systems
- 5+ years of clinical radiation therapy physics experience
- A /ABMP certification (or completion of A Part
2) - Strong understanding of state, federal, and professional regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Proven initiative and ownership over tasks/projects
- Ability to manage complex patient-specific scenarios
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
