Pay range: $16.00/hr – $16.00/hr
MONDAY‑FRIDAY 6P‑6A – + $2.00/hr
SATURDAY & SUNDAY ALL SHIFTS – + $3.00/hr

This position will be jointly responsible for the protection of casino guests and employees as well as the assets of the Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and security, providing exceptional guest service, and patrolling the property in accordance with departmental and property policies.
Essential Job Functions- Complete Tips Training and use it for monitoring and intervention purposes.
- Patrol and monitor all areas of the operation.
- Check and validate IDs of patrons entering the casino for permitted access.
- Validate photo identifications to uphold prohibition of alcohol consumption by a minor.
- Record and inform guests of cut‑offs and length of removal from the property.
- Security check‑in: check all identifications and packages during facility entry/exit; assist vendors with appropriate day passes.
- Know all emergency plans for the facility and provide assistance to guests and employees during emergencies.
- Provide escort for money transactions.
- Secure, inventory, process, investigate and destroy cards and/or dice.
- Investigate all injuries and incidents, civil and property damage complaints; contact Tribal Police for all criminal issues.
- Manage crowd control in facility and its functions.
- Control and evict intoxicated or unruly individuals.
- May be called to transport VIP guests.
- Manage and oversee the cage with TITO machines; monitor when gaming machines and ATMs are repaired, opened or refilled.
- Provide assistance to guests and employees with any first‑aid or medical emergency that may occur.
- Provide security oversight to Table Games and Slot Departments, including payouts, credits and failures.
- Oversee Count teams with escorts and verification of "clear" machines and assets.
- Generate and properly record reports pertaining to daily activities in the casino; incident reports, monitoring reports, break‑in procedure and other reports.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and vendors.
- Maintain, manage compliance and report up‑to‑date information regarding Minimum Internal Control Standards for each department.
- Remove unwanted individuals from the property as instructed.
- Report any violations of policy or law to immediate supervisor.
- Secure all casino assets including property, equipment, cash and equivalence.
- Willingness to cross‑train and provide support in related areas of security operations.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
