Role Description

The CDL Class A driver is responsible for the safe operation of any company vehicle including tractor trailers, dump trucks, and other vehicles. The truck driver is responsible for safely and efficiently loading, delivering and off-loading materials and equipment. The truck driver is responsible for miscellaneous service duties on vehicles. He/she will work on the ground doing labor work and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications
  • Must maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License and keep driving record to optimal standards
  • 2 or more years Class A driving experience, preferred but not required
  • 2 or more years Lowboy driving experience
  • Tact and diplomacy required in dealing with customer personnel at delivery points.
  • Requires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of vehicles and in preventing damage to materials and equipment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to complete simple logs and documents
  • Ability tomaintainregular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to sit intrailercab forlong periodsof time.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to perform high-intensity physical demands such as shoveling, raking, and climbing.
  • Ability to walk and traverse on undeveloped and uneven terrain.
  • As a safety-sensitive employee,you mustmeet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass the Federally mandated substance abuse testing.

Work Schedule:

Though work is weather-dependent, normal work weeks are Monday – Friday, up to 12 hours per day. Some weekend work may be required.

Driving Requirements:
Travel using a company vehicle is regularly required. A driving record that meets

HSBLLC insurance company requirements as outlined in HSBLLC’s Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Safety Plan must be maintained.

FLSA Overtime Status:
Non-Exempt (hourly) employee.

Overtime ispaid after
