* 7 West is a dynamic 14-bed inpatient unit that provides high-quality, compassionate care to both adult and pediatric populations. The unit is uniquely structured to support a dual patient population, with a combination of adult medical-surgical beds and a dedicated, closed pediatric unit.
Our adult medical-surgical section serves a broad range of patients with diverse medical conditions, including post-operative recovery, chronic illness management, and acute medical needs. The pediatric unit is designed to care for patients from 1 week to 18 years of age, offering a safe, family-centered environment that supports both the physical and emotional needs of children and their families.
The nursing team on 7 West is highly trained, adaptable, and committed to excellence in patient care. All nurses are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and maintain full competency in adult medical-surgical nursing. This cross-training ensures that our team can seamlessly respond to fluctuating census demands while maintaining the highest standards of care across both populations.
Collaboration is a cornerstone of our unit. Nurses, physicians, therapists, and support staff work closely together to ensure continuity of care, timely interventions, and a supportive healing environment. Our team takes pride in fostering a culture of learning, teamwork, and professional growth, making 7 West a rewarding place to work and receive care.
