Minimum QualificationsSkill in routine computer operations. Ability to recognize, analyzes, and solves problems. Working knowledge of record keeping practices and procedures. Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures and clerical duties. Ability to make mathematical computations rapidly and accurately. Skill in the use of office machines. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the general public.
EducationHigh school graduate or equivalent.
ExperienceTwo years of experience in clerical duties, and office machine operations or closely related field with one year of experience in court or legal experience preferred. Must have basic experience of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
NecessarySpecial Requirements
Must be bondable. Must pass City of Williston and FBI Criminal Background Check. Must be able to type 50 words per minute.
Equipment Used in Job PerformancePersonal computer and printer, word processing and spreadsheet software, typewriter, telephone, copier, fax machine, calculator.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
