Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Engineer to join our project team. The ideal candidate will perform engineering design evaluations, support project execution, and ensure adherence to budget and scheduling requirements. The role also involves upholding accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance throughout the project life cycle. The Engineer will provide technical support, follow established guidelines, and act as a back-up to the Project Manager as needed.
Roles And Responsibilities- Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection
- Support identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment, coordinating with FEED (Front End Engineering Design) contractors
- Develop and maintain the Functional Interaction Plan
- Manage the project issues resolution process and coordinate change requests, endorsing authorization as required
- Ensure assigned work scope is completed in alignment with Project Objectives
- Engage project team and functional stakeholders to confirm design and construction standards are met
- Serve as the primary interface between the Project Team and Contractor
- Foster smooth project stage transitions and lead the Project Management Team in applying the Project Management System
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Demonstrated experience across engineering, construction, project management, and controls
- Multi-discipline skill set with a broad understanding of design standards, specifications, and work processes
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and influencing abilities
- Strong organizational, coordination, and planning skills
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, high workloads, and changing priorities
- Exceptional communication skills; proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Proficient in the MS Office suite
- Location:
Houston, TX with travel to Williston, ND at least one week per month - Compensation: $89/hr
- Schedule:
Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week - Reimbursements:
Per diem offered to non-local candidates
