Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Williston, ND | Acute Care

Contract | Days |

Shifts:

0645–1915 / 1845–0715 | Block scheduling available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

• Provide direct nursing care in an LDRP unit with 7 Labor & Delivery beds and 8 Postpartum beds, serving approximately 58 births per month
• Read and interpret fetal monitoring strips independently using Philips monitors and the Trace View/PIP EFM system; strip reading proficiency is required
• Titrate drips including pitocin, insulin, and magnesium per physician orders and AWHONN ratio guidelines (1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips; 1:3 for couplet care)
• Care for a mixed obstetric and neonatal patient population including diagnoses such as hypertension and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)
• Collaborate with charge nurses and CNAs; float to Med/Surg or ER as needed based on staffing (permanent staff are typically floated first)
• Document and manage patient care using the Meditech EMR system

• Active RN license with Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Experience titrating drips (pitocin, insulin, magnesium)
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to follow quality metrics
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with Common Spirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past 12 months

• ACLS, NRP, and/or STABLE certification
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and/or Trace View/PIP EFM systems
• Adaptability, strong communication skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment

• Scrubs are provided on-site, allowing for a seamless transition into the unit's surgical scrub environment
• Contracts of varying lengths may be considered, offering flexibility for the right candidate
