Part Time Faculty – ELT 3050L – Microcontroller Techniques II – Williston Campus, Vermont State University.
Academic TermSpring 2026 (January 20 – May 15, 2026).
Course OverviewLaboratory component of ELT 3050. The course expands on microcontroller abilities taught in ELT 2050. Topics include proper embedded software techniques, real‑time operating systems, use of state machines, applications using common communication protocols, interfacing to sensors and display devices. It also discusses microprocessor and microcontroller architectures, instruction set architecture (ISA) of the microcontroller and assembly language. Students create mixed‑language applications using both C and assembly in a structured programming environment.
TeachingResponsibilities
- Teach the laboratory component of ELT 3050.
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant industry experience or a master’s degree.
- Teaching experience required, preferably at the college level.
Based on credits previously taught per VSC‑VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
