Williston Central School is seeking a creative, patient, and enthusiastic Fiber Arts Club Coordinator to lead our middle school after‑school Fiber Arts Club. The club provides students in grades 6–8 with opportunities to explore a variety of fiber and needle arts in a welcoming, hands‑on environment. The Coordinator will guide students in learning new techniques, support ongoing projects, and help foster a positive and collaborative club culture.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit and encourage student participation through school announcements, posters, classroom visits, and other outreach efforts.
- Plan and lead weekly after‑school club sessions focused on a variety of fiber arts and needlework techniques (e.g., knitting, crocheting, embroidery, weaving, felting, etc.).
- Provide step‑by‑step instruction and individualized support to students of all skill levels.
- Develop age‑appropriate projects that build skills, creativity, and confidence.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Manage supplies, tools, and materials; track inventory and request replenishments as needed.
- Uphold all school policies and procedures.
- Experience with one or more fiber arts/needlework techniques required; ability to teach multiple techniques preferred.
- Prior experience working with middle‑school‑aged students (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom‑management skills.
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for hands‑on learning.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learners.

A. Randy Trust, and will be paid based on the co‑curricular activity pay scale, Category D, from the CVSD Collective Bargaining Agreement.
