Williston Central School is seeking a creative, patient, and enthusiastic Fiber Arts Club Coordinator to lead our middle school after‑school Fiber Arts Club. The club provides students in grades 6–8 with opportunities to explore a variety of fiber and needle arts in a welcoming, hands‑on environment. The Coordinator will guide students in learning new techniques, support ongoing projects, and help foster a positive and collaborative club culture.

• Recruit and encourage student participation through school announcements, posters, classroom visits, and other outreach efforts.
• Plan and lead weekly after‑school club sessions focused on a variety of fiber arts and needlework techniques (e.g., knitting, crocheting, embroidery, weaving, felting, etc.).
• Provide step‑by‑step instruction and individualized support to students of all skill levels.
• Develop age‑appropriate projects that build skills, creativity, and confidence.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Manage supplies, tools, and materials; track inventory and request replenishments as needed.
• Uphold all school policies and procedures.

• Experience with one or more fiber arts/needlework techniques required; ability to teach multiple techniques preferred.
• Prior experience working with middle‑school‑aged students (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp, etc.) is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom‑management skills.
• Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for hands‑on learning.
• Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learners.

• This position is fully compensated through The Jeannette
  
  A. Randy Trust, and will be paid based on the co‑curricular activity pay scale, Category D, from the CVSD Collective Bargaining Agreement.
