Penguin Pottery is Hiring Production Associates

Penguin Pottery conscientiously manufactures pottery supplies in Wilder, Vermont. We're looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our production team.

We hire by the shift. The shifts we're currently filling are listed with this posting — tell us which ones fit your schedule. You don't need to be available for all of them. If none of them work for you, or you don't see any listed right now, tell us when you are available and we'll add you to our candidate pool.

This is a hands-on role where you'll help us make the supplies that potters love — mixing glazes, assembling tools, packing orders, and keeping our workspace running smoothly.

No experience needed although prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. What matters most is that you be dependable, communicate respectfully, and don't mind getting your hands dirty. We keep our team small, and everyone here treats each other well.

Our busiest stretch runs September through June, so that is when the most shifts are available.

• The hourly rate is posted with each shift
• Paid time off: accrued in proportion to the hours you actually work (our full-time rate is 80 hours per year, prorated)
• Paid sick leave under Vermont's Earned Sick Time Act
• Paid holidays: six a year, prorated to the hours you work (averaging 24+ hours a week qualifies)

• Show up on time for the shifts you commit to
• As much notice as you can give us if you need to miss a shift
• Respectful communication and teamwork
• Follow quality control standards and workplace procedures
• Basic computer skills
• Able to get to our Wilder, VT facility reliably
• Must be at least 18 years old
