New England Air Systems is looking to hire a full-time entry-level IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) Duct Cleaning Technician who will play a vital role in providing healthy and well-functioning environments for our customers' HVAC systems. This position involves improving air quality by thoroughly and detail-oriented cleaning of air duct systems.

We will provide training on duct cleaning of air ducts and HVAC units. We seek someone capable of identifying areas needing improvement and recommending appropriate products and services. There are excellent career growth opportunities within our HVAC department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Clean duct systems to perform basic maintenance and conduct inspections through effective communication.
  • Perform cleaning of air-handling units.
  • Clean and, if needed, mark all registers and returns.
  • Move furniture safely and productively to prepare for cleaning.
  • Clean kitchen hoods and exhaust duct systems in commercial kitchens.
  • Assist in cleaning up the work area.
  • Maintain duct cleaning equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Take before, during, and after photos of work performed.
  • Track inventory in the vehicle daily.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Positive attitude and enjoyment of working in a team-oriented customer service environment.
  • Flexibility to work off-shift hours (nights and weekends) and travel to various job sites if required.
  • Drive to continuously improve knowledge and skills through classes and training.

  • Hardworking with a commitment to providing high-quality results to customers.
  • Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. We are willing to work with high school seniors seeking to fulfill their co-op experience through tech school.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
  • Ability to pass background checks at facilities we work in.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs repetitively.
  • Compliance with safety policies, including wearing PPE as per VOSHA, OSHA, and NIOSH guidelines.
  • Ability to climb and work from up to a 40-foot ladder.
  • Stand for an 8-hour shift.
  • Work in confined spaces.
  • Use of a respirator, requiring a clean-shaven appearance.
