Position DescriptionImmediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Williston, Vermont. Benefits- Hourly Pay: $29.50 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus:
Up to $500 every quarter (four times per year) - Sign On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, weekends off - Hours:
Mid Shift 11:30 am – 8:00 pm - Annual Merit Pay increases every year

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake, tire work)
- At least 2 years of classroom training and work experience (preferred)
- Valid commercial driver license (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections and repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, using diagnostic computer when applicable
- Identify root cause of basic failures and perform required repairs
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
- Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Perform other support duties as required (e.g., Service Island support)
