Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Williston, Vermont. • Hourly Pay: $29.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
• Sign On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours:
  
  Mid Shift 11:30 am – 8:00 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake, tire work)
• At least 2 years of classroom training and work experience (preferred)
• Valid commercial driver license (CDL) Class A (preferred)
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Perform standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections and repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, using diagnostic computer when applicable
• Identify root cause of basic failures and perform required repairs
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)
• Perform other support duties as required (e.g., Service Island support)
